Gaining attention and support is the Wildlife Conservation and Anti Trafficking Act proposed on January 30, 2019. If it becomes law it will allow for tighter enforcement and monitoring for illegal hunting and trading of wildlife as well as provide more funding towards conservation efforts, including amending and expanding current acts protecting endangered species. Currently, no actions aside from the proposal, have been taken within the Legislative branch, however there are major benefits such as rewards to anyone who provides information on trafficking rings and no extra taxes will be added.
